We pride ourselves in staging a meeting that will be remembered for years.

North Dakota Night
Delegates are coaxed into the western spirit by receiving a cowboy hat and bandana upon arrival at Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park. Start off with a tour of the Visitor Center, On-A-Slant Indian Village, restored commissary, granary, barracks and the home of General George Armstrong Custer. The exploration continues with a stop at the 7th Cavalry block houses. Finish with a western-style pitchfork steak fondue prepared at the triple shelter on the Heart River or Cavalry Square.  Entertainment is western-style with a country band or North Dakota folk singer.

A "Stately" Reception
Kick off your gathering with a gala reception held in the Memorial Hall of the North Dakota State Capitol. Delegates can tour the House and Senate chambers, the Roughrider Hall of Fame and the 18th floor observation deck while enjoying refreshments and hors d'oeuvres. A jazz group will set the mood and attendees can spill out onto the "great veranda" and enjoy our clean North Dakota air.

Frontier Army Stampede Dinner
Get ready to take a trip back into the 1800's as you step onboard the Fort Lincoln Trolley. The trolley ride takes you along the scenic banks of the Heart and Missouri rivers and across a trestle end bridge to historic Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park.  At Fort Lincoln, browse around in the commissary storehouse and watch the infantry or the Seventh Cavalry perform military drills.   Visit with the men as you wander through Calvary Square viewing their equipment. Then, sit down to an authentic North Dakota meal, such as a buffalo pit barbecue. Transportation back to the Port of Bismarck is provided by the Lewis and Clark Riverboat.

Living History
The 1800's come alive with one the many living history groups available. Whether it is tea with Libby Custer, an 1800's style show, the Old Scout's drill or the 17th Infantry encampment, your group will enjoy seeing history relived at Fort Lincoln, the former Historic Governor's Mansion, or your headquarter hotel.

Add A Historical Twist
Let the North Dakota Heritage Center set the stage for your lunch or reception. The state museum was designed by the Smithsonian Institute and houses the largest collection of plains Indian artifacts in the world. The mezzanine is perfect for small continental breakfast or reception. The lawn provides a relaxed picnic setting for a summer lunch and the auditorium is an ideal setting for your awards presentation or opening ceremony.

Summer Culture At Sleepy Hollow
For unique outdoor entertainment, take your group to the Sleepy Hollow Performing Arts Park. Summer performances vary and include the Bismarck-Mandan Symphony "Pops on the Prairie"  series and a featured summer play. Add a gourmet boxed lunch along with a fireworks finale, and delegates will have a night to remember.
